Plan of Salvation

1. Man’s Condition: Sin Has Separated Us from God

From the beginning, mankind fell into sin through disobedience. Because of this, all people are born in sin and separated from God.

  • Romans 5:12 — “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

  • Romans 3:23 — “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Sin separates us from a holy God, and we cannot restore ourselves.

2. The Penalty of Sin

Sin carries a just penalty—death.

  • Romans 6:23 — “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

No works, religion, or personal righteousness can remove this penalty.

3. Yehovah’s Provision: Yeshua the Messiah

Because of His love, God sent His Son, Yeshua, as the Lamb of God to take away sin. He lived a sinless life and gave Himself as a sacrifice.

  • John 1:29 — “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

  • Romans 5:8 — “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

He was buried and rose again, defeating sin and death.

4. Our Response: Repent, Believe and Be Baptized

God commands all people everywhere to repent and believe the gospel.

  • Mark 1:15 — “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

  • Acts 3:19 — “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…”

  • The Scriptures clearly instruct those who believe to respond in repentance and baptism.

  • Acts 2:38 — “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…”

  • Mark 16:16 — “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

  • Acts 22:16 — “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”

To believe is to trust in Yeshua and turn from sin unto Yehovah. Baptism is the outward expression of an inward transformation a step of obedience identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua.

5. Follow Yeshua: The Call to Discipleship

Salvation begins a life of obedience. Yeshua calls us to follow Him daily.

  • Luke 9:23 — “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

  • Acts 1:1 — “…all that Jesus began both to do and teach,”

We are called to walk as He walked—by both His words and His example.
